200 Hour Teacher Training | May 8th - May 28th, 2019
How proficient in yoga do I have to be?
We recommend that you have a minimum of 1 year practicing yoga, participating in 3 to 5 classes per week or equivalent self practice. You don’t need to know how to do any inversions, arm balances or advanced postures.
What to expect?
For 19 days (arrival and departure day excluded) you will be immersed in the studies of yoga, philosophy, and deepening your personal practice. The training will be physically, emotionally and spiritually demanding. Full of challenge and transformation. Please come with an open mind and open heart.
Every day will start with a 2.5 hour yoga practice, including asana, pranayama and meditation. 12 hour of silence is observed everyday, from 10 pm until after breakfast, when we start the first workshop/teaching sessions. The days are filled with practice teaching, workshops and philosophy. After dinner is Satsang where we will have Kirtan or other special events.
Do we get free time?
Because this is a 200-hour training in 19 days, there is very little free time. The evenings and meal times are yours to enjoy and relax. Sundays are half days with special organized events, the rest of the day is yours. There is a lot of amazing hiking all around, a pristine lake near-by, sauna, a cute town and many other activities to enjoy in your off-time.
How many students will there be in the training?
I am only taking 24 students. I want to connect personally with everyone and to be easily available and accessible to guide and mentor you through this process. This is much easier in a small group and I find that small groups connect better with each other.
What kind of certification will I get?
You will get a 200-hour certification with One Movement Yoga School. One Movement is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School. After graduation, you will need to use your certificate to register with Yoga Alliance. This is the standard procedure to become a RYT 200.
When does the training start?
The training official starts on the 9th of May but the arrival date and opening ceremony is the 8th of May. Graduation is on the 27th of May and depearture is the morning of the 28th.
