300 Hour Advanced Teacher Training | June 11th - July 10th, 2019
How proficient in yoga do I have to be?
This training is physically and emotionally demanding because of this we recommend at least two years of a consistent asana practice. At the 300-hour level, you are expected to have a basic competence in teaching asana. It is highly recommended that you have at least one year of full-time teaching or two years of part-time teaching and feel confident in teaching an asana class.
If you intend to complete your 300-hour certification, a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate from One Movement or another Yoga Alliance approved 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training is required. We also welcome yogis who would like to deepen their personal practice, even if you don’t intend to complete a 300-hour certification.
What to expect?
For 28 days (arrival and departure day excluded) you will be immersed in the studies of yoga, philosophy, and deepening your personal practice. The training will be physically, emotionally and spiritually demanding. Full of challenge and transformation. Please come with an open mind and open heart.
Every day will start with 30 minutes of meditation, 2.25 hours of asana and 30 minutes of handstand and arm balance training. 12 hour of silence is observed everyday, from 10 pm until after breakfast, when we start the first workshop/teaching sessions. The days are filled with theory, philosophy, workshops and personal development. Evenings close with Satsang, kirtan or other special events.
Do we get free time?
Because this is a 300-hour training in 28 days, there is very little free time. The evenings and meal times are yours to enjoy and relax. Sunday morning you will have a 3 hour morning class, after that the rest of the day is yours. The Spa will be available Sunday evenings for sauna, steam room, hot tub, aromatherapy room and cold plunge.
How many students will there be in the training?
I am only taking 20 students. I want to connect personally with everyone and to be easily available and accessible to guide and mentor you through this process. This is much easier in a small group and I find that small groups connect better with each other.
What kind of certification will I get?
One Movement is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School. Students with a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification will be eligible for their 500-hour RYT. After graduation, you will need to use your certificate to register with Yoga Alliance. This is the standard procedure to become a RYT 500. All graduating students will receive a 300-hour certificate from One Movement Yoga.
